Growing up in Oregon and Utah, Gene developed a strong competitive spirit through athletics. As a ranked junior tennis player, he learned the value of discipline, preparation, and resilience—qualities that would later influence his approach to business and leadership. He continued his athletic career at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he was a member of the Men’s Tennis Team. During his time at the university, Gene also became a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, building lifelong relationships and developing leadership skills through teamwork and service.
Professionally, Gene has been involved in a number of successful companies across multiple industries. As a Co-Founder of eHub, he helped create innovative solutions that support businesses with shipping and logistics operations. He also co-founded Move Method, a company focused on practical business solutions and organizational growth. In addition, Gene has contributed to the advancement of technology and business development initiatives through his involvement with RealVu Technologies.
His leadership and entrepreneurial achievements have earned significant recognition, including the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and a Forty Under Forty Business Award. These honors reflect his impact on business innovation, company growth, and leadership excellence.
Outside of work, Gene remains passionate about tennis, skiing, and golf. He is also actively involved with the Package Shippers Association, serving as both a member and board member. Through this involvement, he shares industry expertise, supports collaboration, and contributes to the continued development of the logistics and shipping sectors.
